Bo Fu is currently Professor at the School of Data Science, Fudan University, China. Before joining Fudan, he worked in University College London, the University of Manchester, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and the MRC Biostatistics Unit at Cambridge. His research areas include statistics and data science, population health, medical statistics, social research and administrative data.
In this talk, he will discuss some methodological challenges in analysing data in medical and health research, such as complex observational longitudinal data, administrative data, electronic health record data etc. Methodological issues such as missing data, complex confounding, selection bias, data linkage challenge and risk prediction will be discussed.。
